Infective Hepatitis

Infective hepatitis is a disease that affects the liver, caused by viruses such as hepatitis A, B, or C. It leads to inflammation of the liver and can disrupt its normal functions.

Causes

  • Viral infections (Hepatitis A, B, C)
  • Consumption of contaminated food or water
  • Contact with infected bodily fluids

Symptoms

  • Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes)
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Abdominal pain
  • Dark urine

Prevention

  • Vaccination (for Hepatitis A and B)
  • Practicing good hygiene
  • Avoiding contaminated food and water
  • Safe handling of bodily fluids

 

Gall Stones

Gall stones are solid particles that form in the gall bladder, a small organ located under the liver that stores bile.

Causes

  • Excess cholesterol in bile
  • Excess bilirubin
  • Infrequent emptying of the gall bladder

Symptoms

  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Indigestion
  • Back pain between the shoulder blades

Prevention

  • Maintaining a healthy weight
  • Eating a balanced diet
  • Regular physical activity
