Infective Hepatitis
Infective hepatitis is a disease that affects the liver, caused by viruses such as hepatitis A, B, or C. It leads to inflammation of the liver and can disrupt its normal functions.
Causes
- Viral infections (Hepatitis A, B, C)
- Consumption of contaminated food or water
- Contact with infected bodily fluids
Symptoms
- Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes)
- Fatigue
- Nausea and vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Dark urine
Prevention
- Vaccination (for Hepatitis A and B)
- Practicing good hygiene
- Avoiding contaminated food and water
- Safe handling of bodily fluids
Gall Stones
Gall stones are solid particles that form in the gall bladder, a small organ located under the liver that stores bile.
Causes
- Excess cholesterol in bile
- Excess bilirubin
- Infrequent emptying of the gall bladder
Symptoms
- Severe abdominal pain
- Nausea and vomiting
- Indigestion
- Back pain between the shoulder blades
Prevention
- Maintaining a healthy weight
- Eating a balanced diet
- Regular physical activity
