Understanding Conjunctions
Conjunctions are words used to connect clauses or sentences, or to coordinate words in the same clause. They help in forming complex and compound sentences.
Types of Conjunctions
- Coordinating Conjunctions: Connect words, phrases, or clauses that are similar. Examples include: and, but, or, nor, for, so, yet.
- Subordinating Conjunctions: Connect a dependent clause to an independent clause. Examples include: because, although, since, unless, while.
- Correlative Conjunctions: Work in pairs to connect equal elements. Examples include: either...or, neither...nor, both...and.
Understanding Determiners
Determiners are words placed in front of nouns to clarify what the noun refers to. They help in specifying the noun's reference in the context.

- Articles: a, an, the. They define whether something is specific or unspecific.
- Demonstratives: this, that, these, those. They point to specific things.
- Possessives: my, your, his, her, its, our, their. They show ownership.
- Quantifiers: some, many, few, several, all. They indicate quantity.
